What is CrossFit?
The definition of CrossFit is - constantly varied functional movements, performed at high intensity.
In practice this means we deliver a broad strength and conditioning program, designed to create positive adaptation across the 10 areas of fitness - cardio vascular endurance, stamina, strength, flexibility, power, speed, coordination, agility, balance and accuracy.
CrossFit is for everyone, no matter what age, fitness level, ability or previous training history.
What do we offer?
CrossFit, CrossFit Gymnastics and Weightlifting Classes, plus low skill Sweat Classes. We are open 7 days a week, with all classes led by experienced coaches invested in your long term health, fitness and functional movement capability. We also offer personalised Nutrition & Lifestyle Coaching & 1-1 Personal Training.
We follow HWPO Affiliate programming written by ex-games Athlete and Coach Michelle Letandre, and overseen by Mat Fraser, arguably the best CrossFit Competitor in history.
“Hard Work Pays Off” (HWPO) was Mat Fraser Mantra, and guided him to become the most decorated and dominant athlete in the history of CrossFit®. After he retired from his competitive CrossFit career, he launched HWPO the training and coaching company. The Affiliate Programming arm of HWPO is programmed by Michelle Letendre - ex-Game Athlete, has been an Affiliate owner, Games coach and Level 1 Seminar Staff. She’s most well known for coaching Patrick Vellner, 7 x Games Athlete / 5 x Podium finisher. HWPO deliver world class programming to CrossFit gyms around the world.

We advocate for Nutrition to support exercise, not body fat.
CrossFit’s nutrition prescription is simple.
Eat meat and vegetables, nuts and seeds, some fruit, little starch, and no sugar.
Sounds simple - but we know peoples eating habits are more emotional than functional, which is why we offer nutrition coaching.

John Maxwell, Head Coach & Co-Owner, comes with over 13 years’ experience coaching and running CrossFit boxes all over the world. He heads up the Coaching Team, leads on programming and coach development, and is an L3 CrossFit Coach. Passionate about constant progress and development, and passionate about CrossFit Education.
Classic CrossFit Programming
We are a CrossFit Box, nothing else. We currently follow HWPO Programming for CrossFit and Sweat Classes, whilst programming for all other speciality classes in house, with each coach bringing their our experience to each class.

Giving you every opportunity to work on your weaknesses…
We want to provide every opportunity for members to work on the typical core areas of development in class - so we offer Weightlifting and Gymnastics Speciality Classes as a Membership Bolt On (Only £20pm for both / £12 for one or the other) and a 90 min Sunday Sweat Class for everyone keen to work on their conditioning.
Bring people together - celebrating individuality
For us the community is one of the main things separates a CrossFit Box from a regular gym - it’s important to us, and we know it’s important to you. We want our members to feel accepted for who they are, and comfortable to train amongst friends. We host regular social events, dog walks, throw downs, bring a friend days and of course the usual Summer and Christmas parties to bring our community together.
Setting a good example
For us it’s important to set a good example to the next generation, bringing kids up around fitness and functional training. So, if you need or want to bring your kids down to watch or hang out whilst you train, you can, as long as they stay in the waiting area and not on the gym floor. Equally, always welcome at social events and dog walks.
Post WOD coffee & a chat
We love our caffeine, like most CrossFitters, so we serve up a fresh pot of Lost Barn Coffee after every morning class. Why? Because they are our local coffee roasters, it’s ethically produced and delicious. You get a free cup after every morning class if you want it.
